On this May 1st, we celebrate lily of the valley , this delicate white bell with a fresh, floral, green and slightly sweet scent , a symbol of happiness and spring! ✨

Surprisingly, it is impossible to naturally extract the olfactory essence of lily of the valley!

Its characteristic fragrance is a feat of perfumery , skillfully recreated using expertly orchestrated synthetic and natural accords.

Capturing the spirit of spring

Perfumers compete in creativity to reproduce the unique freshness of lily of the valley, evoking morning dew and the sweetness of the first sunny days.

It brings a touch of spring elegance and lightness to many fragrances.

Iconic perfumes

Dior's “ Diorissimo ” , created in 1956, is often considered the iconic fragrance of lily of the valley.

Created by the legendary Edmond Roudnitska , it captures the pure, fresh essence of lily of the valley like few others.

Many well-known perfumes have incorporated lily of the valley as “Anais Anais” by Cacharel, the perfume of our youth par excellence, or “Pleasures” by E. Lauder.

The big houses too

Each year, the house of Guerlain releases a new vintage edition of its iconic Lily of the Valley, highlighting a particular facet of the flower.

The house of Hermès also played the game in its Hermessence collection with “Muguet Porcelaine” by the famous perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.

Today, many niche perfumers interpret lily of the valley in their creations.

Although elusive in its pure state, the scent of lily of the valley continues to enchant us, bringing back positive emotions and sweet memories...

Precious memories

For me, it's the memory of holidays in the countryside: my grandmother took my childhood friends and I to "hunt" for lily of the valley in the forest.

What a thrill to unearth these precious white bells hidden in the undergrowth! Each find was a small victory, and the joy of smelling them and then replanting them in the garden was immense.  

This simple pleasure of self-discovery... an unforgettable olfactory and emotional memory!
