Our Candles
What are the ingredients that make up my candle?
I exclusively use vegetable waxes made from soy or rapeseed/coconut. GMO-free, vegan and blended in Europe with the greatest respect for the environment and the people involved in their manufacture.
The perfumes are created by myself, an artisan perfumer, using quality raw materials sourced in Grasse or the Landes region.
The wicks used are made of cotton and braided linen, providing perfect combustion, avoiding black smoke and ensuring optimal diffusion of the fragrance.
My candle leaves traces of wax on the jar, is this normal?
My preference is to offer handmade candles made from natural soy or rapeseed/coconut waxes. These natural waxes are slightly oily, and may therefore leave some marks on the sides of the candles during combustion.
Most brands use so-called mineral waxes. These waxes don't leave marks on the jars, but they are not natural and come from the petrochemical industry.
My spark plug is hollowing out, is this normal?
To avoid this as much as possible, I advise you to burn your candle for fairly long periods of time. Specifically for the first use, I recommend burning it for at least two or three hours to obtain an even melt on the surface.
Furthermore, to ensure good combustion, you must ensure that the wick is cut to approximately 3 to 5 millimeters before each lighting.
My candle is slightly uneven on top or it is discolored, is this normal?
Between burning sessions, the surface of your candle may show some irregularities, such as small indentations or bumps. It may sometimes have a frosted appearance or even become discolored. This is normal, as candles are natural. These reactions are completely normal with vegetable wax and concentrated natural raw materials. This in no way detracts from the quality of the candle or its fragrance.
These irregularities make the object unique and underline the fact that Petite Eau candles remain above all artisanal creations, hand-poured by me.
My candle came loose from the jar during shipping, is this normal?
It is very rare that the wax may shrink and separate from the jar when exposed to extreme cold. This does not affect the quality of the product. You can replace the scented wax in the container.
How do I refill my Lauburu collection candle?
Since the jars are handmade, the size may vary slightly from one jar to another. It is therefore impossible for me to provide ready-made refills. However, I suggest you contact me to come and deliver the jar or send it to me by post so that I can refill it in my workshop.
Tips for using my candle
First lighting, the baptism of fire: Let your candle burn for at least three hours. This is the time it needs to melt all of its surface wax and prevent it from hollowing out.
So what? Next time, let it burn for at least two hours each time to prevent it from burning, and a maximum of four hours. We don't want it to overheat!
A wick is like hair: A little trim before each lighting, and you're good to go! Between three and five millimeters is the ideal length.
We say yes to defects: Between burning sessions, the surface of your candle may show some irregularities, such as small indentations or bumps. It may sometimes have a frosted appearance or become discolored. This is normal; it's natural! These reactions are completely normal with vegetable wax. But don't panic: this in no way affects the quality of the candle or its scent.
Want more? Then wait until the wax has completely solidified again before lighting it again...and off you go again!
Storage: A dry, temperate place is heaven for candles. Between 15 and 20°C – 25°C maximum – is perfect. Same for me! ☺
After exercise, ventilation: It is recommended to ventilate your home well after burning a candle.
My Candle Safety Tips
A flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface is essential. We don't want a candle to fall over or wax to damage our beautiful furniture.
Keep away from hazards: Flammable products, children, animals, curtains, drafts... we don't want accidents: so keep your candle well away and out of reach of little hands, paws or noses that are a little too curious!
Never leave unattended: Never leave a lit candle out; it's dangerous! Blow it out before leaving, even if it already smells like you're going on vacation.
Four hours maximum: Do not leave a candle lit for more than four hours: we do not want it to overheat, which would be a shame.
Stay in place: Avoid moving the candle while it is lit. Wait until it has completely cooled.
End of life: I recommend that you no longer light your candle when there is less than 0.5 cm of wax left in the container, this could damage it: clean the remaining wax to reuse your ceramic containers as you wish!
In summary: Treat your candle with love, it will repay you by delicately perfuming your home.

What ingredients make up my fragrance diffuser?
As an artisan perfumer, I imagine my formulas and I handcraft the fragrances of my products with quality raw materials sourced in Grasse and the Landes region.
I use an eco-friendly diffusion base made in Europe from a renewable source, ensuring a low evaporation rate and guaranteeing excellent fragrance diffusion.
The sticks are made of fiber, ensuring the best diffusion of the fragrance.
The bottles are made of recyclable glass made by Italian master craftsmen.
The color of my diffuser has changed, is this normal?
Your perfume contains natural raw materials: its color may therefore change over time, which does not alter the fragrance in any way.
Tips for using my diffuser
First use: Remove the leak-proof protective cap, place the desired number of sticks and be patient! Let the sticks soak up the scented concentrate for a few hours (5 to 6 hours) , then turn them over to begin diffusing the fragrance. This action can be repeated several times to restart the fragrance diffusion.
Sticks? The more, the more intense! Insert the desired number of sticks into the bottle. I recommend 5 sticks for optimal diffusion.
Is the fragrance taking its toll? Don't worry if the scent isn't immediate. It's coming, slowly but surely. It can take up to 48 hours for it to fully settle in. It's also normal for the fragrance to be more intense in the first few weeks and to diminish over time, as the diffuser works by capillary action.
Changing color, unchanged fragrance: Your perfume contains natural raw materials: its color is therefore allowed to evolve over time: this does not alter the fragrance in any way.
Cold isn't his thing: Your diffuser prefers mild temperatures. If you're cold, he'll be cold too.
My diffuser safety tips
Place your diffuser with love (and care) : Find a prime spot for it, on a flat surface and away from curious little hands, paws, and noses. We don't want any spilled perfume!
A little air, but not too much: Your diffuser likes airy rooms, but not drafts or tornadoes. Keep it away from bubbling radiators and open windows.
Caution: Fragile surfaces: Your diffuser could be accidentally knocked over... So avoid placing it on your favorite furniture, you never know. Prevention is better than cure!
Disaster! If the perfume spills, don't panic! A dry cloth and a little elbow grease will do the trick. And wash your hands thoroughly in case of direct contact.
Our Fondants
What are the ingredients that make up my scented melts?
I exclusively use vegetable waxes made from soy or rapeseed/coconut. GMO-free, vegan and blended in Europe with the greatest respect for the environment and the people involved in their manufacture.
The perfumes are created by myself, an artisan perfumer, using quality raw materials sourced in Grasse or the Landes region.
The wicks used are made of cotton and braided linen, providing perfect combustion, avoiding black smoke and ensuring optimal diffusion of the fragrance.
Tips for using my fondants
First lighting, the scented baptism: Gently place your scented wax melt on the top cup of your fragrance burner. Then place a small (unscented) tea light candle in the bottom part. Light the candle and let the magic happen! Your wax melt will melt gently, gradually releasing its wonderful fragrance. The diffusion time will vary depending on the size of your wax melt and the heat of the candle.
Want to enjoy it again? Once the wax has completely cooled and solidified in your burner, you can simply relight a new (unscented) tea light in the bottom section. The wax will melt again and release its intoxicating fragrance once again. And there you have it, many more fragrant moments!
Worn wax? Easy to remove! When your melt no longer diffuses fragrance, it's time to remove the wax from the dish. You can do this easily by lightly melting the wax with the heat of the candle for a few moments, then gently wiping it with a soft, damp cloth.
The secret to a long, fragrant life: preservation! To best preserve the quality of your candles and melts, give them a little corner of paradise: a dry, temperate place, ideally between 15°C and 25°C maximum. They'll thank you!
After the enchantment, fresh air: After enjoying the delicious scents of your candle or scented melt, it is recommended to air out your home to renew the air.
My Fondant Safety Tips
A flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface: This is the foundation. We don't want wax damaging our beautiful furniture.
Keep away from hazards: Flammable products, children, animals, curtains, drafts... you don't want any accidents: so keep your perfume burner well away and out of reach of little hands, paws or noses that are a little too curious!
Never leave unattended: Never leave a burning incense burner unattended, it's dangerous!
Caution, it's hot! For your safety, always let your incense burner cool completely before handling or moving it.
